2016/2017 - Surf Rescue Certificate Training - 27/09/16

The SRC is the introductory award for patrolling surf lifesavers and allows the recipient to take part in beach patrols. Completion of this award is a minimum requirement for participation in surf sports competition as an Under 15 (and in some instances as an Under 14).

  • improve fitness, team work, patrolling

To undertake this role you need to hold or obtain the following qualifications and prerequisites:

Other Requirements

200m pool swim in less than 5 minutes. Timed Swim needs to be conducted by SRC trainer at one of the scheduled dates and times


  • Tuesday 10:00am 27 September at the Surf Club - lunch will be supplied
  • The plan is to have 4 sessions during the September School Holidays, and then work out dates after that
  • The aim is have a plan to complete the Theory
  • Costumes & towel are recommended in case  we go for a quick swim
