The club competed in the Surf Life Saving Illawarra Branch Championship on Sunday 12 February 2017 at Wollongong Beach. In the juniors the club picked up 6 Gold, 4 Silver and 8 Bronze Medals.
The club was also represented in the final of the Junior Life Saver of the Year by Jack Bridges, Lachlan McDonald and Max Walker. Although unsuccessful they proved that the club is producing excellent young lifesavers with the club filling 3 of the final 6 positions in the competition.
The Seniors competed following the Junior Branch Championships and came away with medals for Boat Rowing. The U/23 Female Crew finished 2nd in their division and U/19 Male Crew finished 3rd.

The Illawarra Branch Championships is on Sunday, 12 February 2017 at Wollongong Beach.
The carnival is being held on 1 day, instead of the normal 2 days. The Nippers are in the morning and Seniors in the afternoon with the exception of the Surf Boats who will be rowing from 8:00am.
Only clubs from Illawarra can participate in the events, so it is a great chance for everyone to compete.

Stanny Rowers took to the water for the first time on the 5th November competing in the first round of the South Coat Boat Series held at Mollymook. The club had 3 crews travel down the coast for the day and were greeted with friendly surf conditions with sets of 1ft in the morning. Last years u23 girls have returned and are looking to build on their first full competitive season last year. A new u19 boys crew has been formed and the fellas are itching to get in some racing and surf experience and history has been made with the club forming an u19 girls crew with surf life saving bringing in the new u19 female division for its inaugural season for 2016/17.
