20 June 2025 members attended the Illawarra Awards of Excellence. It was a brilliant evening, topped off with a win for PATROLLING CLUB OF THE YEAR. Mark ‘Thommo’ Thompson was awarded Official of the Year. Nate Heffernan received a Highly Commended for Junior Athlete of the Year, and Geoff Ryder was also recognised with a Highly Commended for Assessor of the Year.

Sienna Guisti and Nate Heffernan did the club proud as Junior Lifesavers of the Year, speaking thoughtfully about the future of Surf Life Saving and their experiences at the NSW Lifesavers camp.

Members of PATROL ONE were recognised with a Certificate of Appreciation from Surf Life Saving NSW for their role in a rescue on 15 December.
