Bronze Medallion and Surf Rescue Certificate Course - November 2026

Want to join patrol or step up your qualification? Training is locked in for Helensburgh-Stanwell Park SLSC across two weekends in November!

📅 Dates

Weekend 1: Sat 21 & Sun 22 November
Weekend 2: Sat 28 & Sun 29 November

👥 Who attends when

Bronze Medallion (no prior experience): all 4 days – must be 15+ by final assessment
SRC: Weekend 1 (21st & 22nd) – must be 13+ by final assessment
SRC → Bronze upgrade: Weekend 2 (28th & 29th) – must hold a current SRC and be 15+ by final assessment

🏊 Swim prerequisites

SRC: 200m in under 5 minutes
Bronze: 400m in under 9 minutes

🏊 What we’ll cover

Day 1 – Theory & CPR: Online module review, radios, first aid and resuscitation basics
Day 2 – Ocean Skills: Run-swim-runs, tube and board rescues, defensive techniques
Day 3 – Advanced Scenarios: Patient carries, shallow-water spinal management, multi-casualty drills
Day 4 – Assessment: Patrol simulations, integrated rescue scenarios and final testing
