The Seagulls became an official section of the Club on 28 December 1958. From the 1969/70 season, the Seagulls were established as a separate body known as the Junior Surf Life Saving Club but remained under the auspices of the senior Club.

From 1975 to 1980 the Seagals were an official section of the Club but operated as a separate body similar to the Seagulls. In 1980 the Seagals amalgamated with the Seagulls.
