Election of Executive Committee, Life Membership Committee and Club Officers 2026-27 Season
Nominations close Wednesday 10 June 2026
The elections will take place at the Annual General Meeting on Sunday 5 July 2026. Members are invited to nominate fellow members prior to the Annual General Meeting for election to the Executive Committee, the Life Membership Committee, and/or to fill other positions as Club officers.
Note: any reference to “a member or any member entitled to vote at a General Meeting”in this document means a member 18 years of age and over, and either an Active (patrol) Member, Reserve Active Member, Long Service Member, Life Member, or Associate Member (including Nipper Parent), or an Active (patrol) Member 15-18 years of age and the holder of the Bronze Medallion.
Nominations to fill positions on the Club Executive Committee and Life Membership Committee
Any member entitled to vote at a General Meeting may nominate another member for election to a position on the Club Executive Committee, and/or the Life Membership Committee; a second member entitled to vote at a General Meeting must endorse the nomination, and the nominee must sign the form to confirm his/her agreement to the nomination.
The Executive Committee comprises the President, Deputy President, Secretary, Treasurer, Club Captain, Chief Training Officer, Surf Sports Manager and Chairperson, Junior Activities Committee; the Executive Committee meets monthly with all elected members expected to regularly attend meetings.
Nominees must be at least 18 years of age, must be a current member entitled to vote at a General Meeting, or be prepared to become a member prior to the Annual General Meeting.
The Life Membership Committee comprises three Life Members, together with the President and Club Captain. Nominations are invited for three Life Members to fill these vacancies.
Nominations to fill other Club Officer positions (excludes Executive Committee and Life Membership Committee)
A member entitled to vote at a General Meeting may nominate another member for election; a second member entitled to vote at a General Meeting must endorse the nomination, with the nominee also signing to confirm his/her agreement to the nomination.
Alternatively any member entitled to vote at a General Meeting may self-nominate to fill any position by submitting an Expression of Interest; the EOI must be endorsed by two other members entitled to vote at a General Meeting.

Process for election to all positions
Within 7 days of the closing date of 10 June 2026, a list of valid nominations received will be sent by email to members entitled to vote at General Meetings of the Club.
At the Annual General Meeting, each position will be determined as follows:
- A single nomination received: the nominee will be declared elected.
- Two or more nominations received: a ballot will take place with the winner declared elected.
- No nomination/s received: nominations will be invited from members in attendance at the AGM.
- Late nominations: Only considered if no nomination was received for the position by the closing date.
